1. Make sure you're registered
Register or update your address online at registertovote.ca.gov. The deadline to register for this election is October 19, 2026. After that you can still register and vote in person at any Sacramento County vote center, including on Election Day.

Sacramento County mails a ballot to every registered voter starting October 5, 2026. You do not need to request one. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before November 3, 2026 and no postage is needed.

Drop your sealed ballot in any Sacramento County official drop box, hand it to a worker at any vote center in the county, or mail it back. You can also vote in person at a vote center in the days leading up to the election.
